The meeting held by the Krishna River Water Management Board which was convened in Hyderabad on Oct 29 to resolve issues between the two warring states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has passed out the verdict to TS government to utilise water from Srisailam reservoir only up to November 2. Retaliation to it, the TS irrigation minister Harish Rao made it clear that as long as the requirement of people of Telangana are not fulfilled, they will continue producing the power from Srisailam reservoir.

Telangana Government has instructed the GENCO to generate electricity at Srisailam power project. Harish Rao stated that they have escalated the issue to the Central Government over generation of electricity for the sake of farmers and clarified that the Center has approved their request. Harish Rao further said that they would keep generating the power till the demands of the farmers are met
