But they have a system that puts those checks and balances in place that makes common man life more livable. This is a Republic nation with Bill of rights as their bible although it is a democratically formed government.

 

I am talking about something that affects an individual at every level in their daily lives like in India. low level corruption doesn't exist widely in west because the govt employees are paid fairly well, and have access to basic necessities (may be not in the US).

Think beyond that .. why are they paid well ? Because they pay taxes regularly .. if not system will collapse ! Black money deosn't go unwarrented
