If I prove 1=2, can you prove me wrong?

Let ... a = b

Multiply both sides by 'a'

a2=ab

Add a2 to both sides

a2+a2=a2+ab

2a2= a2+ ab

Subtract 2ab from both sides

2a2-2ab= a2-ab

2(a2-ab)=1( a2-ab)

cancel the common factor from both sides

Hence 2=1

Can anyone prove that I am wrong? If yes, then tell me how I am wrong ... !@:

every thing is good except for the canceling common factor thing. we cannot just cancel the common factor out what were are actually doing here is dividing both sides by common factor a2-ab, now division is only good when we are not dividing by zero, but here a2-ab is o cuz we let a=b, for this reason we can't go any further so the problem is correct only till 2(a2-ab)=1( a2-ab).

you were absolutely correct Mr. mnrred 321, as a2-ab is equal to zero if and only if a=b; so the fuction a2-ab is zero when a=b; so the function (a2-ab)/(a2-ab) is an indefinite function, they don't cancel each other,,,,,,,So it's never true that 1=2 at any case,,,,,,,,,,,I'm sorry Mr. gaduggayi...........
