The AP and Odisha governments have been waging political war over the new railway zone. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has repeatedly said that a new railway zone will come up at Visakha. The Odisha government, on the other hand, has reportedly expressed its opposition to the move and made it clear that it will not allow Waltair division, presently under its railway administration, to go into the hands of AP. This has made the citizens of Visakha to realise that their dreams of getting new railway zone may not be fulfilled.
