Hello All, I am going to buy LED H6350 Series Smart TV either 65inch or 75inch & wanted to ship it to India. I would like to send it through one of my frnd.. She said there would be a limit for 62 inches including box..& weight should not exceed 23 kgs.. but mine is like 72inches with box & 34kgs of weight.. Can you let me know if you guys have any idea about Cargo shipping? Do i need to send it through cargo shipping with her & can i also cargo the item which i am going to buy myself by paying shipping fee & customs? Help me if you have any idea on Cargo?

Be prepared for paying import and customs duties (36%)apart from shipping charges and insurance and at the end of the day if the fails to work ,you may not have option of returning it back !

The customs dept have the MRSP rates of all the TVs sold in USA nad they will tax accoring to it ,even if you bought at  50% in a black friday sale !

U Can't send it through ur frd... Each airline has Max Limit (Heavy Luggage: Avg: 62' Wid Box).. 75 Inch TV , ante Including Box it will be Around 85 Inch... it will Cost u More for Shipping in Cargo as u have to Pay Taxes/Insurance blah blah.. n dese can b Evaded if u go for 46 Inch and send it through ur Frd..

Airlines will not accept LCD TVs above 55 inch

 

I think the packaged box will be more than the specified max dimensions and will not fit into  luggage/cargo space of passenger airliner..so it has to be sent by cargo place

6 months back few of my friends shipped 3 samsung 65" curv TV from us to Hyd, it a month but it was worth it. They brought them in us around 2400 or so.. After shipping each piece costed them around 3 k I guess.

consider the price+ shipping costs + customs duty + loss of manufacturer warranty while thinking about this..
