afrnds Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today emphasized the need for reunion of political forces to transform Telangana into a Golden State and usher in a new era of continuous growth. The Chief Minister was welcoming Parakala TDP MLA Challa Dharma Reddy, along with other leaders and followers into TRS fold with traditional party shawls at Telangana Bhavan here. The CM said Dharma Reddy joined the TRS to strengthen it and involved in the process of building a new Telangana to meet expectations of the people. KCR said political leaders, irrespective of their political affiliations, should come together to rebuild a new Telangana State. This is not a political program, but to strengthen the TRS to offer committed services with a focus on welfare and development. The TRS Government is committed to welfare of the people, he added. To keep the promise of giving pensions with good hike to old aged, widows and handicapped, the government launched “Aasara” scheme and was ready to spend Rs 4,000 crore every year, the CM said. Speaking on the occasion, Dharma Reddy said only KCR is capable of transforming Telangana into a golden State. He alleged that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was causing troubles to Telangana with regard to power and waters. “Though I respect Naidu and TDP, I did not like the former hampering interests of Telangana State”, Dharma Reddy said.
