The increasing crime rate has forced Vijayawada city police to make carrying the ID card mandatory at nights . City Police Commissioner AB Venkateswar Rao has made an appeal on this regard to the people and he stated that this step is taken by the police to control the crime rate. The police has also asked the people to carry the documents of their vehicles at nights for showing them to the police during special drives.
