thats the first pic we got back .... probably asteroid meedaki descent sequence start ayyi untundi .. and btw it landed on it already , the live updates are running here

what is the accomplishment of the mission ? y this comet ?

 

the mission itself is really interesting , read about it here bro ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philae_(spacecraft)

 

also i dont exactly knw why this comet , but the astrophysics that took to reach this comet are really amazing , they used earths gravity various times to sling shot it to the destination . ee gif lo chudu

it takes another 6 yrs for it to go close to the sun i guess , thats enough time for whatever research these guys have to do

wow this is amazing.... you can actually rotate the image...

 

yeah its a 3d rendering , u can also zoom in and zoom out
