They have just required every store manager across their over 5,000 US stores to match Amazon's online prices - no matter how cheap they are. We suspect this is in large part due to the success of Amazon’s Black Friday Countdown Sale, which began quite early this year on November 1st. Since then, Amazon has been offering hundreds of new pre-Black Friday deals at huge discounts every day, many of which have been selling out day after day. And with their free shipping discounts and free 2-day shipping for Amazon Prime members, Walmart has every reason to fear this online retail giant! Walmart has been offering their own pre-holiday sales too, but there's no doubt Amazon has been cutting into their sales. I have observed this in LED, LCD TV's. If you don't believe, what ever model you get in Walmart Sony/Samsung/Vizio...etc TV's are not available out side with same model no. Of course you get same features, screen size...blah blah. But not the same model no. If you still get out side the same price better purchase outside. This was informed by on walmart employee itself.
