Vijayawada, Nov15 :  Andhra Pradesh capital zone has become the hub of land grabbers and rowdy gangs . Most of the crime takes place in semi urban areas, where the lands are developed into plots. Apart from the rise in crimes and spurt in organized criminal gangs, families in the region are witnessing a clash between the elders, who own the land and their children over giving it to the Government. CRDA bill that will be in charge of administration of Andhra capital will be presented before the cabinet on November 18. 

 

Guntur SP said that property related crimes were on the rise. Rural areas have not witnessed any land grabbing or double registration as the farms are owned by farmers, who stay in the property. However, semi urban areas face such problems as lands are divided into plots and layouts and here the plots are resold, by using forged papers 

 

Cabinet subcommittee that visited villages in Guntur were told to identify the areas, where the farmers will get the developed plot of 1000 square yards . Farmers were apprehensive that if they get land in areas like Kondaveeti Vagu canal areas, which is flood prone, then it was of no use. In many areas, farms owned by elders are not willing to give it up as they hold a sentimental value to it.  :3D_Smiles:  :3D_Smiles:
