that's why I said, either build a new city, or use that money to announce largesse to TG people. Invest as less as possible in Hyd, just enough to sustain the current economic activity. 

 

Encourage as much as possible for industries to invest outside of Hyd. Far away from it.

 

I know it runs contrary to regular economic theory, but that is why TG movement was such a bad idea, unless Andhras give away their control of Hyd. Otherwise TG movement hasn't achieved much, other than minting a few TG millionaires.

 

MNCs go to a state where they are welcome. Its not like other states are very friendly to MNCs. Anyway, building a new city is a far fetched idea, I agree. But choking Hyd is a good idea, for TG people's sake.

 

can they announce enough largesse to keep them in power? do they have budget to run the basic govt. activities while giving these largesse? Wont this push TS in to a darker phase?

 

won't choking hyd reduce revenues next year?? won't this create a negative mark on TRS as an incapable govt? I don't think KCR has much of choice. he can abuse AP people for a while but the day when food does not come on to the plates of those that are clapping at his meetings today, they will start pelting stones. and i don't think that day is too far. he better start respecting people, or he will end up as gadafi of India

yes, KCR is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

 

Hyd is not yet a mature city that can sustain itself without govt push. like mumbai or kolkata. But I doubt revenues will plummet if KCR starts giving step motherly treatment to Hyd. It'll increase slower than other for cities, but won't decrease.

 

He'll probably find a middle ground somewhere, cede some space to TDP/Andhras. May be he's testing waters now :)
