Time & space exists after big bang(many theories are pro and con for this)... Before that its nothing ...but a huge amount of energy compressed to a small ball

 

This ball explodes and converts to mass(as energy and mass are inter convertable) and scattered all over and still that explosion is expanding this kind of for 13.8 billion years
