bhayyas, ma friend oka ammayi ki hyd lo h1b visa stamping appudu 221 (g) issue chesaru. she had a court appearance during her masters time. oka store lo under age ki liqour sale chesina issue lo she went to court and paid fine. valla cousin ni store lo visit chesthu just a stand by unna when she left out for few minutes. anthey gaani i dont work there and i am not supposed to work ani cheppindi appudu. DS 160 lo oka question ki answer lo she explained what happened. so last week visa intrw appudu officer took her to a closed private room and 3 people back to back interogate chesaru for 90 minutes. we learnt that u received monetary benefits during your stay in US and we have proofs adi idi ani annaru..she never agreed and at the end they even took a written statement of the same. if proved guilty u will be to a jail and fined annaru anta..then 221(g) issue chesaru. So now obviously it will take some time and meanwhile she wants to talk to a attorney and find out what sort of questions they might ask if she was called back for a re-intrw. so evarikina ilanti cases telusa and outcome of those cases and steps that need to take. suggestions kaavali bhayya..

She was already fined in court of law ,so i don't think she can be sent to trial again under similar circumstances 

Probably she should contact attorney in US

+1, did she have the cleared docs from that case from the court, if she paid fine they would have given her the receipt and docs, did she even took those docs at the time of interview, did she even submit them ..if no..this is a situation now, if she have those concerned docs, how will she submit to the consulate, if she dont have those docs she can get one from the court anytime, but the point is how will she submit them docs to the counsulate,

Iamme...naku same problem india ki velnappudu like ur friend and 221g padindi kani nanu elanti room lo ki tesikelaledu... All they asked court document and if you dont have one request from respective state...Also, ask her to be frank about the incident... Court document should help your friend clear 221G....

she did carried the receipt (fine paid) and the court document. But they are saying you paid fine only because you are proven guilty and you received monetary benefits outside which is illegal. she gave the original receipt and docs at the end and now she does not even have a copy of them to go back to the original court and get any kind of statement of what happened. When we reached out to the original court, the official said we need a receipt and any kind of doc to look for that case details. since she gave the original docs now we dont even know those details.
