Cars like Infinitis , Lexuses , Porsches etc are imported as CBUs ( Completely built units ) , Import duties on CBUs is close to 160 % ... so, if a car costs 60k in the US after import duty in india it costs about 156k ( 60k + 96k import duty ) ... that equates to about 96 lakh rupees and added to that u need to pay an additional 14% road tax & registration tax .... So .. it'll easily cost over 1 crore on road

Prices thaggichali antey they have to start manufacturing them in India ( Like Merc and BMW ) .... I dont think the'll setup a manufacturing plant in india anytime soon ...
