Sri City signed MoU with Kobelco Cranes for expansion

Kobelco Cranes India, the Indian wing of the Japanese crane manufacturer Kobelco Cranes signed a memorandum of understanding to expand the existing production unit at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh. Until now, they have made an investment of 1 billion Yen, and intend to pump in 5 billion Yen in the short term.

Mr. Yutaka Goto, President, Kobelco Cranes India and Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, MD, Sri City had signed a lease agreement for an additional 10 acre-plot in Sri City, in the presence of CBN.

Softbank keen to fund 10,000 MW of solar power generation in India

Softbank has evinced interest in setting up 10,000 MW solar power project in the next 3 years. CBN has invited Softbank to partner with Andhra Pradesh in its ongoing plan for the development of 2,500 Mw solar power in addition to the new investment proposals.

During a press meet yesterday, CBN said that Softbank Corp chairman and CEO Mr. Masayoshi Son also expressed his readiness to establish research and manufacturing facilities in Andhra Pradesh so as to bring down the cost of solar power. “The cost of solar power has already come down to around Rs. 6.50 per unit and if we can further bring it down to Rs. 4 then we will be able to create a revolution of sorts in the energy sector,” CBN said.

‘Mee Kosam’ to be launched to solve people problems within 30 days.

By introducing ‘Mee Kosam’ soon, CBN is all set to revolutionize People Grievance Redressal Mechanism by harnessing the power of the internet.

Every one of you will now be empowered to notify the Government about any grievance you might have. From Chief Minister to a Mandal-level Official – ‘Mee Kosam’ will bring in all the officials under the purview of the portal. To begin with, the website will be launched with 12 departments. It will be the Government’s responsibility to address every grievance within 30 days.
