Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister , Ashok Gajapati Raju said that he and other AP Ministers have been trying to get special status for AP. Speaking to media, he said that Special Category State status was promised by the then Prime Minister in the Rajya Sabha. If the government had lasted for some more time after promise was made, it would have been better, he said and added :"The Centre is facing the ire of both AP and Telangana. Making a promise is very easy. But how to implement it is more important."
