Operation Trident During The Indo-Pakistani War Of 1971

4 December is celebrated as the Navy Day in India, to commemorate the start of Operation Trident during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 (The one-night attack where the Indian Navy sank three vessels near the largest and WELL GUARDED Pakistani naval port of Karachi.) 

Operation Trident resulted in first use of anti ship missiles in the region. Above all, the valiant execution of operation Trident, followed up by operation Python, sealed the fate of Pakistan Navy in the war of '71.
