You cannot take appointment unless until you submit the DS160. 

 

order: submit 160, pay visa fee, reserve OFC first and consular later.

Yes atleast ofc appointment 1 day before you have to submit because you need to take ds 160 conformation page to ofc and they will stamp on it when they take your photo and finger prints. You are supposed to take that stamped copy of your ds160 conformation page to the actual intwrview

Thanks bhayya. as long as i have ds 160 form number, i can do visa appointment kada. I already did that.

Ofc appointment ke confirmation copy kavaali bhayya so obviously you need to do before ofc appointment like 24 hours before not before your actual visa interview
