In the past I bought some canon model, but it was not good in low/bright light.

My use is to take pictures mostly inside home (low light) and sometimes when go out (mostly very sunny all over year)

And I see the G series price starting from $499 which is not my budget. I am looking around $200

you will get old g series camer for 200$.. the old ones are as good as new ones.. but with extra features..

I see Lumix ZS40 is about $349 which is more than my budget. But good suggestion, will certainly like to buy it in the future.
