out of frustration I came out of university without defending my thesis and worked on opt later on I realized that I should hve a degree and went back to complete my thesis then I defended my thesis my committee didn't approve my thesis saying more work to be done, rite now i am on opt extension what should I do

See if you can Get masters degree without Thesis, like doing additional courses to complete your credits. I don't know if they have non-thesis option in your school.

In that case you have only option to apply for non masters that is under regular quota

I never seen such scenario but these days you never know cause they are getting tougher and tougher day by day
