tony1990 Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 I have sent all the opt documents on Nov 11 and received notice receipt in 7 days. I know it was late but I had a reason. Anyway, I tried to expedite OPT process but was rejected. I am on CPT now, working as a full time employee for an American MNC. Cpt ends on dec 12. My questions: 1) When will I receive my OPT ead card? If it takes 90days, I will be out of work status for 2 months starting dec 13. I heard OPT process usually speeds up after CPT/Graduation. Is it true? 2) Is there any way I can continue my work after CPT before receiving EAD? I don't want to risk my Job and career with the current company. 3) I have to visit to India by feb mid at any cost. Can I travel in Feb 1st week (without EAD) and return US with EAD, letter from employer,etc. without any issue? Please help me out. Thanks.
