gutleygurunadham Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Super Star Rajinikanth's much awaited entertainer Lingaa is releasing in a grand manner on Dec 12. Fans and movie lovers are having lot of expectations on the film as this is Rajini's first entertainer after Robot. Inbetween he came with Kochadaiyan but that was an animated flick. Fans are doubly happy as for the first time their hero's film is releasing on his birthday. As all know Lingaa revolves around post and pre independence era.Film stars off with Rajini and Anushka in the current generation. Santhanam also enters to provide comical relief. Film slowly heads towards interval and prior to the interval block it will enter into pre independence era. The film then enters flashback mode in Pre independence with Rajini seen as a Lingasamy an engineer who wish to do good for the place he lives in by constructing a dam. He requests Britishers to construct the dam but they refuse his advice. Lingasamy sets upon himself and with his own expenses construct the dam. Britishers refuse to supply water and demand Lingasamy to forfeit the rights on the dam. Lingasamy agrees to do so for the good of the villagers. Watching these developments, villagers mistake him for conniving with Britishers and banish him as a traitor. Thus the temple built by Lingaa remain unopened. Sonakshi Sinha, Bollywood queen makes her debut as Bharati in the second half. In the runup to the climax film enters present ends routinely . Director KS.Ravikumar failed with his direction and screenplay. He made lot of blunders all over the film and for all the high technical,production values, Rahman's music it will be huge disappointment for fans. Comedy of Santhanam is ok and right from the start to finish it will be difficult to viewers to bear the torture as there are no interesting twists and turns.The film turns out to be below average to flop film. All the hardwork of Rajini goes for nothing with the substandard story.
