Truth is, most people are bunch of sycophantic idiots, whose job is to be biatch for corporates. Others who are not employable, end up on some reality show or another. Since most people are zombies anyway (look at the current crop of smart phone users on the street), It makes perfect sense to believe that the jobs they do can be done by robots or expert intelligence systems in the future. so, why have kids at all?

Is it guaranteed, he'll ace the olympiads and get a fields medal. why be so proud of having a kid, who'll just be another corporate slave, or probably lose his job to a robot in the future. Unless he's a genius.
