donganaaK Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 This engine served a good life for 300,000 miles. I rebuilt the motor, but due to an unforseen problem, it failed. Instead of trashing it, the sentimental hunk of metal was repurposed; re-disassembled and rebuilt into a coffee table. The cat it lived in was a 1987 BMW E30 (325is). The exhaust headers are shelves. The valve/rocker cover now rests where the oil pan once hung. The cylinder bores are large enough to accommodate wine bottles. Also I get to say that I photographed this where a scene from the last Batman movie was filmed. The cam + belt do rotate by hand.
