Tried Transferwise with 200$ , I must say I am impressed with the transfer rate, much better than xoom. Only caveat it takes up to 2 days. If I can wait , will use this service in future.

This application works perfectly.

It is minimally as quick as bank transfer, but in fact usually twice as fast. The exchange rate is incomparable to normal bank transfer that I have used (Lloyds bank) and the fee is very reasonable as well (again compared to standard ways). I have sent money back to Czech already about 5 times and my friends have used it succesfuly (and very very quickly) to transfer from Spain to UK. I can really reccomend it.
