Freedom to sell Paddy!

CBN had vowed during his swearing-in that he will fully protect the interests of farmers who toil day and night to help sustain the nation.

In what is hailed as a landmark decision by the Cabinet headed by CBN, farmers will now be able to sell paddy anywhere in the State, or for that matter any State, so that they can obtain better prices. Until now, a farmer was bound to sell paddy only in their home district.

To protect the farmers from devastation caused by Hudhud, CBN’s Government will buy paddy damaged up to 17% and bear the entire loss if the paddy is completely damaged or destroyed.
