Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna expressed his desire to see AP Capital which is going to be built in Vijayawada-Guntur region be named after Telugus Pride and former Chief Minister late NT Rama Rao. The actor is willing to withdraw his demand of rechristening Hindupur as NTR District if the above proposal gets nod from the TDP Government. He made these comments in a meeting with Anantapur district MLAs on Thursday.

 

In the discussion, Balayya reminded everyone about proposals of naming Anantapur district after NTR. Stating that the delimitation of districts would divide Anantapur district very soon, The Star shared with his fellow legislators that he would place the demand of naming Hindupur after his father before the AP Government.
