Tej is making his debut on silver screen turning Mukunda. He is entertaining today on X Mas eve as Mukunda under the direction of Srikanth Addala. Let us see what impact he made on mega fans and movie lovers.

Story Line

Mukunda (Varun Tej) while returning to his village from Ameerpet, Hyderabad in a bus, starts remembering the days he enjoyed with his friends, especially Arjun and how he saved umpteen times from the attacks of Chairman (Rao Ramesh) supporters for loving his neice. Co passenger (Ali) calls police believing Mukunda's words that he committed a murder. To findout whether he really committed a murder and how he tackled village chairman (Rao Ramesh) who supress people for his benefits and what is his connection with Chairman's daughter (Pooja Hegde), enjoy Mukunda on silver screen.

Star Shine

Varun Tej with his performance makes an impact. Apart from his killer looks, his dialogue delivery is good with powerful intensity. He danced well and expressions are ok. Pooja Hegde's role is limited to just songs. She is not given chance to utter even one dialogue also. Rao Ramesh performed well as villain. Ali failed to entertain as comedian. Person who acted as Varun's friend is ok. Sekhar Kammula attracts in a cameo. Parachuri Venkateswara Rao did well as Varun's father.

Analysis

Srikanth Addala came with a story that is seen in many films earlier. Hero opposing village head or politician and educating people to revolt against him and at the sametime romancing with his daughter. However just like in Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, he highlighted human relations. The film stars of on a serious note and continues in the same vein. Srikanth Addala forgets masses and mega fans and there are no mass elements in the film. Even mega fans will be disappointed since heroism is not elevated properly and there are no stunning dance moves popular for mega heroes. Rao Ramesh's dialogues as villain may attract yesteryear movie lovers with such grammatical telugu but today's viewers will find it difficult to follow him. Even romance between hero and heroine is not highlighted properly. Not a single romantic scene is there and the biggest minus is hero and heroine do not talk to each other even once. Srikanth didnot include even one hilarious scene. Srikanth concentrated on scoring hit highlighting strong human values and paid attention to hero friend's love story rather than on hero, heroine's love story. All depends on how mega fans and masses accept Srikanth Addala's class on Mega family's mass image.

Technical

Mickey J Meyer's music is youtful and attracts class viewers and youth. Marthan K Venkatesh's editing is Ok. Manikandan's cinematography is beautiful. Some of the dialogues are thought provoking. Raju Sundaram's choreography is attractive. Production values are good.

Movie Marks

You can watch it if you can take serious and slow phase with less coomercial values.
