Mukunda Review

Story:

 

 

Mukunda (Varun Tej) is a college-going youngster and a righteous guy. There is a local politician (Rao Ramesh) in the same town. Mukunda’s friend Arjun falls in love with a relative of the politician. Mukunda who is protective of Arjun goes for a conflict with the politician. The rest of the story is all about how politician try to silence Mukunda and how Mukunda wins in the showdown.

 

Performances: Varun Tej has done a decent job in his debut. He was impressive in confrontation scenes and comfortable in action sequences, Dialogue Delivery was good . His Character is more serious and doesn't offer him much scope to perform various emotions. 

 

Pooja Hegde was fine as female lead, she didn't had much scope to perform. Rao Ramesh was excellent in the main villain role , he got a meaty role and he used it to his fullest, it's his career best performance. Prakash Raj was good in a supporting role. Paruchuri venkateswarara rao ,Raghubabu made their  presence felt. Others all were apt.

 

Technical Departments:

 

Story-Screenplay-Direction: Story line is wafer thin and director went for a single point narration without much destruction except for couple of songs misplacement. Screenplay was gripping for the entire movie but in second half it falls at places and picks up again. Hero-villain confrontation scenes were too good and were the best part of the movie. However, Climax was handled in a hurried manner, much detailed ending could had made better impact and justice to the characters/movie.

 

 

Other Departments: Dialogues were too good . Camera work was superb. Editing department suffers because of ups and downs in screenplay in second half. Music by Micky J Mayor is big plus point for the movie, all songs were good (though  couple of them were misplaced as mentioned earlier), and background score was effective. Action Sequences were good. 

 

 

My Rating : 6.5/10

 

 

Analysis: Hurried Climax ,slow pace in second half  are minus points for the movie.But Effective Dialogues, Good Performances and Direction work well for the movie.
