Em chestunaroo ardam aytunda asaloo..already every arrays has two steps to create lun and add luns and spend millions to buy that software..spending millions of dollars buying emc or netapp and on top of it using open stack to automate, its double work. it really make sense to buy your own drives for cheap and then implement using open stack.
We are using fc on emc and dell, file servers brought own drives and implemented openstack file solution.this is my recomendation

automate ekkada chestaroo thats is already automated right.. Only 3 steps right create luns and add it to storage group .. Automate should be from OS side.I personally feel its time waste..we wrote scripts to create 100 luns at a time for migration( for that one also you need to put in a spreadsheet all details)

for that all arrays have unified interface and more over every OS has its plugin for vmware, hyperv.so everyone can provsion storage from plugin
