I can understand why Swamy wants financial criteria, him being a brahmin he wants to help fellow brahmins (this is how it will be perceived).

 

but introducing this criteria will take away the only small sliver of hope for some low caste to make something out of his life.

 

They can have financial criteria within the castes that are eligiible for reservations. again, that is not a subject for a brahmin to talk about.

I've written a lot about this, during my conv with bobby.

 

having 2 laws keeps muslims away from Hindus and that is a good thing.

 

There are chinks in the law though, that should be addressed. As when a partner in a marriage converts to Islam to marry, he/she should be able to opt out of muslim law, and still be entitled to all rights of marriage.

 

some other kinks with kid adoption laws, property laws etc.

 

but its best to have two separate laws. mainly because muslims want it. and they should have it, as long as it doesn't trouble Hindus.

I agree with you....when the tax spend on turkeys are also divided as per they are contributed respectively.....then wats the idea of living in one country man??......why to appease them....Gandu nehru should have declared this a hindu country.......we are paying with this......asauddin owaisi is raising Muslim reservation stating muslims are bottom in human indices......They want different civil code,they want reservations,most of bombs are carried  out indian muslim sleeper cells,bang lore techies advocates ISIS......I don't get it maan.....Rest of muslims chose to stay with hindu india after they got pakisthan and bangladesh.......They shouldn't complain

here are my thoughts on reservation 

 

basically public education/job is a form of subsidy given by the govt. It is not some fundamental right of the citizen to avail it.

 

the role of the govt is to keep the society in balance. Its not like all/most of the students given subsidized education (general + reservation candidates) turn up and work for the betterment of India. So govt is not obligated to select only meritorious candidates, because they'll anyway work for some corporates after finishing studies or go abroad.

 

So to ask for canceling of reservation is a bit silly, apart from being cruel.

 

I understand its hard for a 17yr old to get around to thinking like this, but 10 yrs, and a cushy job later, there needs to be some kind of revision of the stand you took as a 17yr old.

when did I say about separate tax laws?

 

but having a separate civil law makes a lot of sense. It totally unrealistic to expect muslims to live under Hindu based common civil code.

 

its better to focus energies on stuff that matter.
