no need to send original passport.. notarized copy will do it. see below i was mailed by taxfileassist last year

 

Process of ITIN Application Preparation and tax preparation:

 

1. You need to send ITIN check list info documents to us ( for your Wife) .

 

2. We will prepare tax returns and ITIN application and email you .

 

3. You need to sign tax returns , ITIN application should be signed by your wife.

 

4. After Signing documents, you need to attach Notarized Passport pages ( first page, Visa 

 

Page, Last Page ( address) , I 94 copy and marriage certificate ) back to our office with 

 

fees check for $150 . You need to attach Check to IRS if you Owe any taxes to IRS .

 

5. After Receipt of your documents at our office, We will setup a video call ( Skype ) with 

 

you and your spouse. 

 

6. We will review original Documents( Specifically Passport and Marriage certificate ) in 

 

video call .

 

7. We will Certify ITIN application for its Accuracy and send it with your tax returns to IRS 

 

ITIN processing center.

 

8. IRS will take at least 6 to 8 weeks to process ITIN application, after your spouse receive 

 

ITIN number, it will take another 2 weeks for your refund ( if you get any refund )

Bayya. nuvvu motham papers ready ayyina tarvaata IRS office ki velli apply chesava leka papers IRS ki mail chesava. Nenu last year naaku tax returns file chesina athanni adiganu. Notorised copy kadu original passport pamli ani antunnadu.
