Jeremy Renner's Wife Files For Divorce After 10 Months Of Marriage

Just two months shy of their one-year wedding anniversary, Jeremy Renner's wife Sonni Pacheco has filed for divorce.

 

The American Hustle actor and Pacheco share a 21-month-old daughter named Ava Berlin, and according to new court documents obtained by ET, Pacheco is seeking spousal support and physical custody of their child.

 

She cites "irreconcilable differences" as being the reason for her split from the 43-year-old actor in the Dec. 5 filing. While there was a prenup in place, the Canadian model is requesting that be disregarded based on "fraud." Pacheco also asks that her stolen passport, birth certificate and social security card be immediately returned in the documents.

 

The couple wed on Jan. 13 and Renner kept his marriage a secret up until an interview this past September with Capitol File. "I have tried to protect my family's privacy, my wife's privacy," he told the publication. "I don't need her to get hammered with my life."

 

That being said, the actor couldn't help but dote a little on his daughter. "It's the best thing I have ever done -- doing it later on in life," Renner gushed. "By then I achieved a lot of things that I wanted to achieve; I'm so blessed for that. Now I can really spend time with family."

 

There have been several end-of-the-year breakups this week, including Chris Rock announcing that he and his wife of 19 years, Malaak Compton-Rock, are divorcing.
