Story: 

 

 

Raghuvaran (Dhanush) is a BTech graduate in civil engineering and belongs to a middle class family. He is passionate about civil engineering and doesn’t want to make money by shifting into software field. His straightforwardness is another shortcoming. He takes life easily, but still eyes only civil engineering as his career. A key incident makes him more determined. Raghuvaran BTech film is all about how passionately he achieves a goal and becomes a role model.

 

 

Performances: Dhanush was excellent in the role of Raghuvaran. He showed the required variations in an quite effort less and flaw less way,his performance is backbone of the movie. Amala Paul was good as female lead. Sharanya was superb in mother's role. Samudrakhani was too good in father's role. Vivek's comedy was good. Amitash was just okay in negative  role.

 

 

Technical Departments:

 

 

Story-Screenplay-Direction: Story line is very simple. But Director Velraj impresses with his narration skills by mixing all commercial elements in the movie. Screenplay for the first half is too good,Hero is introduced in an entertaining way ,his interactions with family members is captured well and also romance track between lead pair is also good. Till Interval movie maintains the same mood and interval has an emotional turn. Second half ,though starts on a good note with mother sentiment scenes & song,is comparatively weak to first half. Game between Hero and Villain could have been better, but still the movie holds the interest of audience and pre climax episode is the best part of Second Half. Climax fight was also good. Overall, Cinematographer Velraj was very much impressive in his directorial debut.

 

 

Other Departments: Dialogues written by Kishore Tirumala are too good and natural. Camera work was superb. Editing is fine. Music by Anirudh is good, songs were fine and background score was effective. Action Sequences were good.
