The storyline is based on a Gujarati stage-play entitled Kanji Virudh Kanji. Its story is similar to an Australian film The Man Who Sued God. It is directed by Umesh Shukla. The film features Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles, along with Mithun Chakraborty in pivotal role.[4] Made on a budget of 20 crore (US$3.1 million), the film released on 28 September 2012 to widespread critical acclaim[5][6] and was declared a blockbuster. But, telugu lo variety ga Lord Krishna, that too Gopala Gopala ata..... entha PK gaadiki multiple relationships (@ #Gopikalu# in real life) untey maathram, Krishnudi tho polokaa??!!...may be repu janalu "ee lafangi gaadu devudu endhi" ani contro chesthe, reasoning ki pettademo title...
