simplee Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 Hyderabad: Disqualification of the Telugudesam Party MLCs has changed the equations of the TDP and the ruling party with disqualified MLCs taking a U turn and 5 of the 7 MLCs shifted their loyalties to the TRS after the General Elections 2014. Furthermore they started claiming majority, and even moved resolution to have their party merged with the TRS and in this regard even submitted a petition to Swamy Goud, the Chair person of the Legislative Council. Chairman accepted the petition, and decision in this regard is expected during budget session. TRS leaders are confident that Council chairman's decision to be in favour of the defector MLCs wishing a merger with the TRS. TDP leaders are opposing it saying that the original party alone could take decision on merger of party and its not the Legislature Party citing 10th Schedule of the Constitution. Wait for more updates on this merger!
