sattipandu Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Explain again plz How much are you currently paying line fee per smartphone per month, most people either pay 15$ or 40$ consider my current situation as of today i pay Amount X per month for my line under mobile share plan X = Y((common bill for all members in group / number of members)) + 15 $ per smartphone per month My X is somewhere around 32$ per month with all taxes I have Upgrade eligibility as of now A)) If i upgrade and renew contract IPhone 6 Price to ATT = 199$ One time Activation fee = 40$ in addition to 15$ that i have been paying , i will see it get bumped to 40$ ie an additional 25$ per month to 24 months ie 600$ So for an Iphone 6 with 2 yr contract i would end up paying 839$ 190$ More and only after 2 yrs will it be unlocked. B)) If i take ATT Next option Iphone cost of 649$ would be split as equal payments for 12/19/24 months as per my choice and that too with no Interest 27.04 $ extra per month if i opted for ATT Next 24 My Monthly bill would remain the same at X Advantages of this ATT NEXT , U dont get ripped off 190$ , Ur not locked in 2 yr contract, if u want to unlock u just need to pay off remainder of 649 and then ATT would unlock the device for you At the end by any means u wont be paying more than 649$ for iphone6 If you are currently paying line fee of 40$ per smartphone per month & also have an upgrade eligibility, Then Upgrading by renewing the contract for another 2 years is the best option.
