rapchik Posted January 11, 2015 Report Posted January 11, 2015 In an interesting development, farmers of the affected areas met Amit Shah during the latter’s visit to Andhra Pradesh and asked for the protection of their lands. Nirmala Seetharaman who was present along with Amit Shah assured the farmers that nobody could force them to give up their lands and Amit Shah concurred with what she said. “Nobody can take your lands against your will or without your consent. It is against the law of the land. If there is any attempt to forcibly acquire your lands, then the BJP will stand in support of you,” said Amit Shah. This is a completely different approach to the one exhibited by Venkayya Naidu, also of the BJP! Venkayya Naidu lost his cool when farmers requested his help in protection of their lands and threatened them that if they persisted with their unhelpful attitude, the new capital would be shifted to Nuzvid!
