simplee Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 Hyderabad: Secunderabad cantonment elections saw both TDP and BJP getting shock from ruling TRS. Both these parties did not get victory at single place while TRS easily walked away with victory at the Cantonment. "It is a clear victory of KCR and to his party and his good governance," said the delighted TRS cadres. The sitting TDP MLA could not leave any impression and could not affect on the result. In all in the eight wards, TRS won in 4 wards and Congress gor in 1 ward and independents got in 3 wards. These are the eight civilian wards in the Cantoment area. The tenure of these wards came to end in May 2013 and the Ministry of Defence conducted the elections in these wards to see TRS emerge as the winner. Former Minister Sarve Satyanarayana's son and daughter both lost the elections. While daughter Suhasini lost in ward 2 to TRS Kesavareddy, his son Navaneeth who contested from ward 5 lost to Congress rebel candidate Ramakrishna. Also, in the ward number 4 Sayanna's daughter Lasya Nandita too lost the election against Nalini Kiran of TRS.
