JANASENA Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 The struggle for freedom ended on 15 August 1947 with the Indian independence. It was a proud moment as India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru delivered the famous 'Tryst with Destiny' speech. The country was now divided into India and Pakistan and people had a choice to migrate to either of the countries. These rare and vintage photos show people boarding special trains and their journey towards a new life in the newly independent nations.
