ye maaya chesave Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Story: Lingeswara (Vikram) is a body builder who aspires to Mr Andhra and dreams to become Mr India. Despite coming from the slums, he works out vigorously at his father’s gym and wins the title of Mr Andhra. But with success come enemies into his simple life. Apart from his workouts, he loves and idolizes one person and that is model Diya (Amy Jackson). In fact, he collects everything from sanitary napkins to magazine covers for her pictures. Incidentally, success also brings Diya into his life. But amidst all the glitz and glamour, Diya has a problem in the form of her fellow model John (Upen Patel) who constantly hits on her. Just to get away from him, Diya promotes Lingeswara and takes him to China with him. From here, Lingeswara becomes Lee and Diya and Lee become the most wanted couple in modeling world. Lee gets it all, the girl, name, fame and money. So is it a happy ending for Lee and Diya or is there is a dark side to their Mills and Boons kind of love story?. Performances : Vikram was good in his role, his performance in some scenes in second half is suerb. His his hard work can be seen wrt changes in his appearance according to the script, but all his sincere efforts have gone in vain for a weak script. Amy Jackson was damn hot & gorgeous, also her performance is good. Suresh Gopi got wasted , Upen Patel was okay, Santhanam's comedy was fine and others all were okay. Technical Departments: Story-Screenplay-Direction: Story line is routine n wafer thin. Screenplay was fine till china episode in first half, but after that movie doesn't movie on good pace ,and never picked up till the climax. Shankar used back n forth narration for the movie but because it doesn't suit the revenge plot. Hero harms his opponents in various strange kind of styles but there are no thrilling or surprising moments in those revenge seeking scenes, nor there was present any emotional quotient because of the narration style as said above. By the time the actual plot is revealed movie reaches the climax, after that also there are no strong encounters between hero and villains because there are no strong villains in the movie which is another minus point, and predictable/terrible twist at pre climax didn't had any impact. Shankar needlessly dragged the movie which runs for 3 hours without even a single scene of his mark/range. Overall shankar' has highly disappointed with his work. Other Departments: Dialogues were fine, Camera work by P C Sriram is superb with rich visuals in songs and also various tones/frames as per the variations of the hero's character. Editing could have been far better.Music by A R Rehman was also good, Songs were fine and Background Score was effective. Action sequences were alright. My Rating: 5/10 Analysis: Vikram's performance, Amy Jackson's glamour and Technical Departments like camera work n Background Score work well for "I",but weak script ,boring/patience testing narration make it a painful experience.
