To Kejriwal, with hope: Delhi beggar donates Rs 5 to AAP

New Delhi: These are the times of coming closer to the roots, and on Friday, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal came into actual terms of how it feels to get connected with the lowest strata of society.

At a time when the party is trying to raise funds for the forthcoming Delhi elections, the chief ministerial candidate was given a ‘token’ of five rupees by a beggar near Ghazipur crossing in the capital. The donation soaked Kejriwal’s eyes.

 

An emotional Kejriwal took the Twitter route to let the world know about the incident.

 

 

 

Lately, the Aam Aadmi Party has been organizing a lot of fund-raising programmes in various parts of Delhi and Mumbai in order to get proper funding for the elections. With the parties like BJP or Congress pumping in a lot of money in campaigning for the Delhi polls, the AAP leaders are also taking different initiatives to pull in required funds.

 

They may have hosted tea parties and other programmes to raise funds, but Friday’s incident seems to have given a big moral boost to the AAP and its supremo!
