the common way religion touches the life of a Hindu is through its rituals. and some random philosophy that has been watered down to mean almost nothing. eg. 'Vasudaiva Kutumbakam'.

but they only kept the ports, and didnot venture far into the country. They were smart. They only tried to control the trade.

 

ofcourse muslims are more rabid than Hindus in expanding their religion. But wasn't that obvious?
