Controversy over idols of Shirdi Sai surfaced again. Hindu religious leaders congregation demanded removal of idols of Shirdi Sai Baba from all temples

Religious leaders at a Dharm Sansad organised in the presence of Dwarka Swami Swaroopananda Saraswati and Shankaracharya of Puri Swami Nishchhalananda Saraswati, which concluded couple of days back passed a resolution declaring that

 

"Sai Baba is neither a guru nor a god".

In the resolution it maintained "Therefore, his idols must be removed from Hindu temples to rid the places of worship of any corrupting influences". Dharm Sansad was held inside the Dwaraka Shankaracharya camp close to sangam in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.

 

They also passed resolutions against cow slaughter, laws to restrict Hindus to convert to other religions, encourage Sanskrit and construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
