when i do re-entry again lets say next year how would they get updated with my old departure in my travel history? should return my i94 that time and tell them i left on so nd so date?

no need to worry- even i forgot to return 1-94 while going to india, but then at entry time officer found that took it and cautioned me that to hand over 1-94 while going
