Gustavo Kuerten is a retired player abba. He was the number 1 in 2000. Kuerten played Federer just once at French Open in 2004, and won, even though he had a hip injury.

okay I should've said, Federer probably copied Kuerten's game :)

 

but he could never replicate the awesome single handed backhand of Kuerten.

Federer is not that unique a player as many sports writers claimed. But he won a lot, so he's awesome.

 

In fact Nadal is also not that unique. except with his fitness.
