* Walmart International has agreed to source local products and give them “Made in AP” branding. It has also assured open retail outlets in our state.

* During CBN meeting with Wipro chairman Azim Premji, he has agreed to develop Vizag as digital city on pilot basis, support us in our e-Governance initiatives and skill development mission.

* PepsiCo chairman Indra Nooyi has evinced interest in setting up mango-pulp units in Chittoor, Krishna and Godavari districts. She told me that she is keen to take up packaging and branding of Coconut water in Konaseema. She will be in Andhra Pradesh in March to finalise the company's collaboration with our government.

* CBN meetings with executives of Walmart International, PepsiCo, Wipro, Bharat Forge, Hero Group, Global Agenda Council on India, Swiss Cleantech and Solar Technologies and other companies were fruitful.

* Bharat Forge is keen to invest in Andhra Pradesh in defence technologies, renewable energy and automobile forging, the company's chairman Baba N. Kalyani said.

* The chief minister suggested to Bharat Forge that Anantapur or Kurnool would be suitable for defence technologies, Krishnapatnam-Yerpedu-Tirupati for investments in auto components manufacturing since it has a port and an ecosystem of auto manufacturers in Sri City and Chennai.

* Malaysian team will soon visit AP to study investments opportunities, the prime minister of Malaysia said.

* Bill Gates promises to explore the option to setup Microsoft Dev center in AP.

* Welspun Renewables to set up Rs 700-crore solar project in Andhra Pradesh. Signs MOU.
