Triggers are scenario based things.. if you run DDL, DML statements, they fire and audit the data as per code, who did it, when why etc etc... so it depends on the situation..

 

ex: if you have a customer table, customer name you are changing.. you need to hold the old record too kada, so triggers will help you audit that...

define a parameter debug_fl bit =0

 

 

if debug_fl=1

 

write data so when u test u can pass parameters and pass debug_fl=1 which will print the data
