kiran1012 Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 There seems to be more to it than what meets the eye in the decision of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to shift State Secretariat from its present complex to the premises of Chest Hospital, Erragadda. Shifting of Secretariat involves demolition of existing buildings and construction of new buildings at Erragadda. It would mean the government would have to spend hundreds of crores for the same. According to sources, there is a strong lobby of builders close to KCR behind the decision and the Chief Minister is learnt to have okayed the proposal for “obvious reasons.” In place of the present Secretariat complex, the government is planning to encourage construction of huge skyscrapers dotting Hussainsagar. Big construction giants like L&T, DLF etc. are evincing interest in constructing the high-rise buildings and obviously, there would be massive kickbacks for people in power. So, Vastu reason is just a trash; money is the actual reason.
