Superstar Mahesh Babu is going to adopt Burripalem village of Tenali Mandal in Guntur district. Mahesh is planning to adopt and develop the village as Smart Village. Guntur MP Galla Jayadev has corroborated the news. He said that his wife and actor Krishna's elder daughter Padma will be adopting Kancharlapalem of Tenali.

After laying foundation for additional classes in ZP High School Jayadev said, "Although I've plans to adopt Burripalem much before the elections, I couldn't due to certain rules that politicians, public representatives should not adopt native villages. Now that elections are over, my brother-in-law will adopt the village Burripalem which also happens to be his native village." The additional classes will be built from the funds issued through Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan.

Of late, Mahesh Babu is more involved into charity works. Even recent reports have it that the star spending at least 30% of his revenue for philanthropic activities. Now Mahesh coming forward to adopt village is certainly welcoming move as it'd inspire many of his fans to follow the actor's philanthropic activities.
